District Resource Officers

Smithfield is divided up into six police districts.  Each district has an officer assigned to it.  Every time an officer takes a call,or issues a citation or warning, the district he is in is recorded.  This helps the department identify areas that have a higher frequency of incidents and violations.  Neighborhood Watch programs are organized by district.  If you have any needs you would like to bring to the attention of your district resource officer or would like to begin a Neighborhood Watch group, please contact our department.
